Slowly But Surely

So much to do.
My ADHD self has a hard time sitting and finishing a project.  I am constantly moving from one thing to another without finishing anything.  However, that is sometimes how I work best.

I actually am felling a little bit of accomplishment with all of my half completed projects.

Grading assessments.  They always seem to come at once. 

Okay, this one is not really even half complete.  

I have over 10 magazines I haven't even opened. Boooo!

Report cards.  Takes FOREVER!

Project Life.  I moved it downstairs so I could work

on one piece at a time.  LOVE the process and the

outcome so far!

I'm trying to embrace what life is throwing at me right now.
It is what it is!

Party On!

We continued our celebration of Colson's birthday today.  We had a few family members and neighbors over for a relaxed, easy-going party.

Colson was the star of the party, as he should be.

He was so very cute.
He smiled and laughed and giggled.
He was polite and kind, saying "thank you" to everyone.
He "oohed and aahhed" over everything he opened.
He was genuinely excited and happy!
He played carefully with all of his new toys.
He shared his new things with Cannon.
He blew out his birthday candle.
He dug into part of his cake with his fingers.
He talked and talked and talked.
He had a great time!

We are so blessed to have Colson as part of our family!

Colson is 2!

We are so excited to celebrate his birthday today.  Two years ago, very early in the morning at 4:47 am, we welcome Colson Christopher into the world.  Each day from then on has been interesting, amazing and totally worth it! 

He is a keen observer. 

He loves to read books.

He copies his brother.

He has a wonderful, great laugh.

He can be kind and polite.

He loves his family. 

He is funny.

He loves to sing

He is strong willed.

He enjoys trucks and trailers.

He is a challenge at times.

He is so very loved.

He is ours and we are so lucky!

A Few Photos

Here are a few photos that I haven't had the chance to blog about....

I love, love, love seeing Cannon at school.  I enjoying peeking in, watching him in action while he is in Early Kindergarten.  

The PTA gave the teachers gift cards a few weeks ago and I finally got to use mine.  I was out BY MYSELF grocery shopping (whohoo!) and stopped to get myself a treat.  

Donuts after church!  It's becoming a tradition.  Colson ate almost all of his donut...and he only got a little bit on his face!  He was so cute walking through the store, eating his donut!

The Old Cannery

Who doesn't love a trip to The Old Cannery?!

We stopped in there today in search of a smaller media center for the living room.  We didn't find anything but it's still fun to walk around.  The boys oohed and aahed over the trains and watched those for quite some time.  As always there were great displays, talking animals, balloons and many other things to keep the kids entertained and we looked around.

It was a great, quick family outing!

The Park

The park is one of our favorite places to go when the sun comes out!  Cannon loves to run and play and Colson enjoys climbing and observing and watching.  Cannon also loves to ride his bike around the park.  He loves to go fast!  

We had a great visit at the park and just soaked up the sun.  There were a lot of people there doing the same thing.  Cannon rode around almost the entire time.  Colson did a lot of watching and walking around, checking things out and keeping his eyes on Cannon!  

The sunny weather lifts spirits!
