The Ordinary and Everyday Things

I love recording memories of our lives. However, sometimes I think I focus too much and one or two "happenings" during the day and I forget about the ordinary, everyday things that are a constant around our house.  So here are a few ordinary things that are part of our days.

Preparing ingredients to make soup tomorrow.

Grocery shopping.

Cannon is always working on something
and he always has a purpose for what
he is doing.

Cannon has no problem staying busy
and active.

Meals.  No missing any of those around here!

Enjoying every moment.

More Gifts!

Hooray for surprise gifts that show up on our porch!
We have Auntie Kanga to thank for these special Valentine treats.  Cannon actually was calling her "Kanga" and has dropped the Auntie.  Silly kid!

Thanks, Auntie Kanga for all of the cool things!  Cannon loves his John Deere sweatshirt and Colson snuggled up to his new stuffed animal.  Yes, the chocolates are gone and the Twizzlers have been opened! What a great treat!

Enjoying every moment.

The Day in Pictures

I took as many pictures as I could remember to take!
I wish that I had a camera with Cannon at preschool and at Jana's house.
I wish I had a camera at Jana's house to get more pictures of Colson during the day.
I wish I could get Chris to take more pictures to document his day.

But here are just a few what I got:
Good morning!

Unrolling the toilet paper!

Mt. Rainier in the distance.  The picture isn't too great.

On the way to work.

Planning day at school.
Every Wednesday morning at 7:45am.

Cannon reading before school.

The kids hard at work!

My Valentine gift to my students.
A bookmark!
Very cheap and very easy!

Colson and mommy!

Cannon jacking up the bike
trailer....just because.

Working on hooking up the trailer to his bike so he could
pull Colson around.

We were playing ball and he was "hiking" it between his legs.

Always happy.  Usually a tongue out!

Cannon's drawing of a truck and trailer.

Cannon in the shower.

Cannon's Valentines

Thank you Pinterest for yet another cool idea.

I created these Valentines for Cannon to make and give to his preschool classmates.

So cute and so fun to make.  Cannon was tired of writing his name by the end and we both ate too many Swedish fish that were supposed to go into the treat bags!  Oh well!

Enjoying every moment.

Birthday and Superbowl

We were blessed with another sunny day!  It was cold when we woke up (30 degrees) but warmed up to the mid 50's.  The warmth felt good.

Today we spent the first part of the afternoon at Vincent's 1st birthday party.  Cannon had a great time running around with with his cousins and playing.  Colson also enjoyed playing with the toys.  Our favorite part about the party was when Vincent made a mess with his birthday cake!  It was fun to watch.

Vincent eating his birthday cake.

Colson playing with the toys.

Cannon posing with his balloon!
We headed to Yelm after the birthday party and spent time at Ray and MaryAnne's for the first part of the game.  Cannon looked at every trailer that was in their yard.  We filled up on salad and pizza and watched the game.  Our favorite part of the trip to Yelm is when Mark arrived and brought a fart machine.  Oh, Cannon thought that was the best thing!  It had a remote control and he was hiding it behind people and then pressing the button.  We all laughed and laughed and laughed.  And.....Mark let Cannon bring it home.  Oh boy!

Enjoying every moment.

Welcome, Sunshine!

The weather today made us all happy!  The sun looked amazing in the bright, blue sky and we were happy to have it back after weeks of cold weather, snow, ice and rain!

Cannon spent all day outside.  He has no problem keeping busy.  One minute he was riding his bike.  The next minute he was pushing around his green quad.  Cannon also helped Chris work on the enclosed trailer.  He loved every minute of his time outside!

Colson figured out how to come in and out of the sliding door down to the deck.  He did that over and over.  He liked being outside, watching everything going on and looking at things.  He also enjoyed playing with the plants, the weeds, the grass, the hose, the rocks and much more!

We finished off the day by having ice cream at Dairy Queen.  We took the Chevelle out for the first time since October and drove it up the hill to the DQ.  So. Much. Fun.

The boys took a bath together tonight.  I know eventually that will be happening more and more.  It's interesting and exciting to watch them interact. Cannon had Colson belly laughing by just setting up a bath toy on the edge of the tub and knocking it in.

I love these sunny days.
I love watching my boys play.
I love sitting on the back deck in the sun.
I love ice cream.
I love how good life is.

Movie night for Chris and I now.  Couch. Blanket. Popcorn.  Here we come!

Enjoying every moment.

Valentine Packages

This week the boys received two Valentine packages in the mail!  Cannon read the names on the boxes and they were definitely for him and Colson (not mom and dad!).  Both boys had fun opening them and seeing the presents that were inside.

CARS 2 shirt!

Colson was more interested in the sticker
on the shirt he got.  It was funny to watch
him try and get the stickers off of his
fingers!

Opening the package from Auntie.

Lots of 'loot!'

Making a mess but having fun!
Thank you to Grandpa and Grandma Anderson and also to Auntie Karin for being so generous. The boys love you!

Enjoying every moment!
