Husky Game

Colson and I were the lucky recipients of the neighbors' Husky tickets.  We didn't need to think twice when we were offered them!

It was a great day for a football game at the greatest setting in college football!

We rode the train up, which is the only way to go!

A quick picture before heading to walk around, see the boats, people watch and finally get in to the stadium.  (Too bad Colson's eyes are closed!)

Colson brought his Husky football and we spent a lot of time on the practice field behind the east end of the stadium playing catch.

Watching warm ups.

Waiting for the Huskies to run out of the tunnel.

You can see how beautiful the day was!  We loved our time together.

The mountain is there in the background...right side.  Gorgeous!

Vets Aid Concert

It has been a long time since we've bought concert tickets.
It was nice to have a night out together.
It was great to enjoy some awesome music.
It was fun to do something we don't normally do.

Drew Carrey helped open the show and came back a few times to introduce various people.
We listed to James Taylor, Don Henley and Joe Walsh.  These guys have been around a LONG time, but can still play some great music!  It was amazing.

I loved Chris Stapleton.

Everyone came back on stage at the end to sing with Ringo Star.

Great experience for us!

Biz Town

A great field trip the 5th grade students get to take is to Biz Town.  Prior to their trip, they learn about filling out applications and apply for various jobs.  They get instruction on how to fill out a checkbook, too.  The kids know what jobs they will have when they go to Biz Town.  Then they spend the day working, getting paid, going to the bank, paying taxes, and spending money.  It's a great, real life experience for them.

Cannon worked at Exotic Metals as an engineer.   He had to make airplanes and then package them, getting them ready to sell.

Here he is signing the back of his check before going to the bank.

Chris was a volunteer and helped the student "employees" at Delta Dental.  I'm glad he was able to attend and be part of this experience.  I was able to go and visit for about 45 minutes.

Awesome experience!

Awards for Responsibility

In November, both boys received awards for Responsibility.  Chris and I were able to watch them receive their awards and hear the kind things their teachers and friends said about them.  It was very nice to hear and we are very proud!

Random October Photos

Grandma and Grandpa Anderson came for a quick visit.  They watched the boys play soccer and we showed them the progress on the property.  It was great to have them here.  Colson and grandma made apple pie!

Quinn loves to hide in boxes, bags or under paper, etc.   So funny to watch him play!

We went to a Sounders 2 game for a fundraiser for MRFC.  It was a fun night.  We stayed for only the first half but it was great to watch them play!

Cannon helping out with the canned food drive at school.  He's got such a servants heart.  These are wonderful experiences for him.

Both Cannon and Colson are in Highly Capable this year.  Colson isn't too sure of the program yet.  He is one of only two second graders and is intimidated.  I think as he gets more comfortable, he'll be fine.  On this day, they were making a human knot and trying to get out of it.

Cannon had his 11 year well child visit. He got four shots!

Happy Birthday to Cannon!

Happy Birthday to our first born son!
Eleven.
Let that sink in.
Eleven.
We are so blessed to have you in our lives for eleven years.  You have grown into an amazing young man and have taught us so much.  We are better because of you.

Cannon opening some of his gifts.

On the morning of his 11th birthday.

At school where there was a Happy Birthday note on his desk and a Happy Birthday hat he wore!

Cannon took two of his friends, Josh and Carson, to Dave and Busters for an afternoon of video games. They had a great time!

Halloween Fun

The boys received some yummy treats from Auntie Kanga.  They loved getting a big package in the mail and checking out all of the goodies inside!

We were gifted some pumpkins from a co-worker, who had a bunch grow in their compost pile. It was fun to trek out there and let the boys choose and cut the ones they wanted!

We also went down the street from out house to pick up some other pumpkins to fill our front porch.

Autumfest is always a big hit and we all had a good time.  The boys came away with huge amounts of candy and we all ate too much!
Cannon borrowed Miss Dowlings cow costume and Colson was a ninja, thanks to Auntie Karin, who bought him a costume back in September!

A few of the staff members all dressed up!

Superintendent and Board's STAR Award

The White River School District has a new award this year, given to two students from each school on a monthly basis.  Cannon was one of the students from Mountain Meadow to receive this award.  We are so very proud of his hard work and efforts and are proud parents!

Soccer Saturday's

From September through mid-November, we spend a couple of hours on our Saturday at the soccer fields.  The rec program through MRFC has been great for Cannon and Colson.  They have learned a lot, met some new people, and have won and lost graciously.  Both of the boys play defender and play almost the entire game.
