Soccer Saturday's

From September through mid-November, we spend a couple of hours on our Saturday at the soccer fields.  The rec program through MRFC has been great for Cannon and Colson.  They have learned a lot, met some new people, and have won and lost graciously.  Both of the boys play defender and play almost the entire game.

Enjoying every moment.

Miscellaneous September Photos

Cannon spends every minute he can out at the property.  Often, he is helping Chris with anything he can.  Other times, he is out playing with his friends in the neighborhood.

Both boys (but especially Cannon) love to read.  Cannon started a new series this month and finished the first book.  Colson is enjoying reading the Dog Man series.

First and Second grade have Grandparents Day at school.  Granny Joy came to hang out with Colson.  They did a tan gram project, read some stories and also played outside.

Coslon enjoyed Callie's birthday party at Peak Gymnastics.  This is a favorite place for parties and we've had a few at Peak as well.  The best part is the "swing" (for lack of a better word) that the kids get to bounce and swing and flip on.

Chris went to San Diego to watch the final hydroplane race of the year.  The weather was great and he enjoyed himself.  The Truss Company boat won the race and the championship!

I snapped this picture while at Cannon's conference.  There was a bulletin board with all of the students information and picture.

Colson helped me make pizza for dinner for evening.

The boys both went to Brayden's birthday party.  He had the game truck come to his house and everyone had fun playing video games, eating and playing soccer in the yard.

Enjoying every moment.

Family Photoshoot

Every summer I make the boys (and Chris) put on some nice, clean clothes and we have our family pictures taken.  I had Kaitlyn, a former student take them again this year.  We went out to the property this August to have them done.  It was a HOT day!

They turned out great and I am so glad that I continue to have them taken each year!

Enjoying every moment.

Shop Update

September brought many changes to the shop.  The trusses were put on, which made a huge difference.  The first set was put up over Labor Day weekend.  These were the ones over the shorter doors.  The second set was put up over the tall garage doors near the end of September.  Cannon actually set the first truss!

After the first set of trusses, the dormers could be built.  There are two out the front and two out the back.

Every step is a step closer to the finish line!

Enjoying every moment.

Washington State Fair

September means the start of school.  But it also means the Washington State Fair is happening!  This year, I took the boys after school one day and we had a ton of fun together.

Our first stop was to pick up some scones.  We immediately sat down and each had one.  You can't go to the fair without having a scone!  (And buying more to take home!)

We walked through many of the barns and saw lots of different animals.

We always like seeing the giant pumpkins!  Amazing!

Stopping at the Kubota display to check out the excavators.

The baby pigs!

One of my favorite places is Hobby Hall and seeing all of the collections.  We each voted on our favorite.  We did this in the art/photography area, too.

This year we bought a dinner bell for the new property.  The boys helped to pick it out.

Another stop at the John Deere tent.  This was the second time we stopped and spent a lot of time here!  The boys liked looking at the John Deere toys.  Cannon, of course, was taking in all of the various tractors and excavators on display.

Enjoying every moment!

Hangin' with Auntie

While Chris and I were down in Portland, the boys hung out with Auntie.  She took them to the Point Defiance Zoo, which they hadn't been to in a few years.

They also went to have frozen yogurt!

And they went to see a movie, too!

Enjoying every moment!
