Arizona

April 2018

Going to Arizona for Spring Break is something we look forward to.
We are ready for a vacation.
We are ready to see the sun and feel the warmth.
We are ready to relax and enjoy being with family.

Swimming is a non-negotiable for the boys.  They love it and spent every day in the pool!

This year Easter was early and we enjoyed it in Arizona.  The boys had an Easter egg hunt and got Easter Baskets.  We had a nice Easter dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

When in bloom, the cactus are just beautiful!

Here's two handsome boys!

Our typical picture in front of this cactus.

Colson loved playing cards with G and G!

It's always a great time when we are here.  We love it and can't wait to go back next year!

Enjoying every moment.

Sedona Hike

April 2018

On our way back from the Grand Canyon, we went through Sedona and stopped at a Cathedral Rock for a hike.  Chris and I did this hike when we came to Sedona a few years ago.  We wanted to take the kids there this year.

This is another beautiful area with all of the red rock.  Pictures don't do it justice.

We loved all of the stacked rocks!

Cannon was an expert and ended up way ahead of us on the hike.

Cannon didn't stay on the main path and headed over to the side.  It was still a good hike, but he couldn't get over to where we were without coming back down and across.

Colson at the top!  End of the trail!

It was hot, but we enjoyed ourselves.  Great memories!

The Grand Canyon

April 2018

Oh my goodness.  This was just an amazing trip to one of the most majestic places that I have seen.  We took two days and drove up to the Grand Canyon from Green Valley.  I'm so glad we did.

The views were awesome, amazing, magnificent and fabulous.  We were in awe from our very first view.  The first day, we arrived in the afternoon and took the bus in.  We walked along the rim and had views to our left as we walked.  What a nice walk!

We walked back to the main visitor center and then out to Mather Point.  As we walked, the views change and you take in different perspective.

Kay and Karen (Auntie Ice Cream) gave $20 each to Cannon and Colson to spend on our trip.  Colson got a 'gray squirrel and a pair of binoculars.  He picked the gray squirrel because he saw two gray squirrels while at the Grand Canyon.

Cannon picked out an wood ornament with a picture of the Grand Canyon.

This was a great family trip.  We will be back again!

Enjoying every moment.

Happy Birthday to Colson!

Birthdays are so wonderful!
We celebrated Colson's 7th birthday this year.

He had a bowling party with his friends and they were so fun to watch.  All you could do was just sit back and smile at these boys interacting and being 7 year old boys!

And a few more of Colson as we celebrated HIM!  We love this funny, moody, smart, friendly kid so much!

A card and money from Grandma and Grandpa Anderson.  It's always so fun to receive mail!

Colson's last day being 6 years old.  This was the night before his birthday.

Looking at one of his albums.  I love that they enjoy looking back at old pictures.

A birthday breakfast for Colson.  Happy 7th birthday!

Enjoying every moment.

Valentine's Day

So much fun surrounds this day.  Both at home and at school.

I gave the boys some choices on the type of Valentine's they wanted to make.  Colson chose the ones that said, "You blow me away." He taped on a Blow Pop.

Cannon decided on ones with Laffy Taffy.

Usually a couple of packages come to the boys from Grandma and Grandpa Anderson and Auntie Kanga.  (Always full of treats!)

The boys Valentine surprises when they woke up on the 14th.

And red pancakes with sprinkles for breakfast!

My valentine bag from school, full of lots of goodies and notes from my students!

A heart shaped pizza for dinner!

Enjoying every moment.

February Snow

2018

Snow is something that is usually a surprise here.  Sometimes it comes in November.  Sometimes in December.  Sometimes in January.  And this year it came in February.

I was at the YMCA and came out to this.  It snowed for a few hours and we had a few inches by morning.

Colson and Cannon enjoyed riding around on the small quad.

It was a beautiful day!  The snow covered trees with the sun and blue sky background!

The excitement that snow brings, especially for kids, is contagious.  I love watching them have fun!

Enjoying every moment!

Museum of Flight

New Years Day 2018

This is always a family day for us.  This year, we headed to the Museum of Flight in Seattle.  There is so much to see there and we could have spent all day!  We loved the history of the planes.  We got to go into a number of larger airplanes, including an old Air Force One plane and a jumbo jet.  We saw a 3D movie on flight and the highlight for the boys was going in the simulator.  Cannon flew and did a great job!  It was such a great day!

Enjoying every moment.
