Miscellaneous April Photos

Lots going on intermixed with our other adventures!

The boys enjoying a bike ride out at the property.  They can just get on their bikes and ride here.  I love that.  It's great for them to be independent and get some exercise!

More work at the property!  Colson dug a big hole with the excavator!

Cannon helping out by spreading gravel.  He loves the tractor from Grandma MaryAnne.  This has been put to good use!

Colson working the excavator some more.

Chris put up the lights on the front of the shop.  They look good!

Cannon and Colson worked for Meredith helping to split wood. Cannon used the log splitter for two days straight for her!  Colson helped to stack the wood.  Proud of both of the boys for working so hard!

Cannon is saving his money for a log splitter now.  He wants one of his own!

Enjoying every moment!

Easter Gifts and Easter Egg Hunt

A tradition:  Easter package from Auntie Kanga.  It's so fun to open it up and see what surprises are there for the boys...and for the adults!

I took Colson to an Easter Egg hunt down the street from our house.  There were lots of eggs and he got some yummy candy.

The Easter Bunny came and left the boys some treats.

Enjoying every moment.

Easter Eggs

I love these simple things  Dying eggs is always fun for all of us. I love the creative and experimentation that takes place.  I love the colors.  I love these two boys so much!

Enjoying every moment.

Spring Break!

Spring Break usually means a trip to Tuscon to visit mom and dad....and to get some much needed relaxation.  Oh, and sit in the sun!

The pool is our favorite spot! We were there everyday, sometimes twice a day!

We went to Kartchner Caverns for the tour.  It's just absolutely amazing what is in this cave!  I wish we could take pictures, but I'm sure they wouldn't even come close to showing the beauty that is underground!

We took the Mine Tour as well.  The best part is walking around and seeing all of big trucks and equipment.

We went to the movies one day and saw, The Missing Link.  We were the only ones in the theater!  A private showing!

Enjoying every moment.

Random March Photos

Every photo tells a story.

Here are a few from March.

Ted Brown Music came to have the kids test out some instruments.  It's a good opportunity for the 5th graders to see if they would like to try band in middle school.  Cannon chose not to sign up for band.  Oh well.  Maybe later on?

Ice Cream with dad at Wally's.  This was after Cannon's Ice Cream Social at the middle school.  This was nice for all incoming 6th graders to check out the building, see where many classrooms would be, check out the lunch room and visit with 6th grade teachers.  Cannon came home from this feeling much better about middle school and a little less nervous.

The property is usually where we're at on the weekend.  Especially Cannon and Chris.  The boys always find things to keep them busy and Cannon spends a lot of time working and helping out.

Colson helped with a little bit of electrical work!

Cannon is usually the one on the excavator.  Lately, Colson has wanted to run it and worked at pulling out some stumps.

I sat for a short time at the property and enjoyed the sun and my book.  I'm loving this author and will continue to read some of her other books.

Enjoying every moment.

Happy Birthday Colson!

Happy Birthday to our Colson!  We are so excited to celebrate Colson turning 8!

Breakfast tradition of pancakes in the shape of an eight.

We bought Colson and ipad for his birthday and gave it to him after breakfast on his birthday.  He was so excited because this is what he had been asking for!

Colson got to open his presents from Auntie Karin Friday night.

The next day, Colson was working on the Lego set he received from Auntie.  Legos are STILL a favorite for Colson.  Especially putting the set together.

A birthday movie!  Colson and I went to see Wonder Park.

Colson's birthday party was at Total Sports and the boys had fun just playing!  They played football, soccer, basketball and dodge ball.

Colson didn't open gifts at his party so he did that later in the evening.  He was spoiled!

Colson is a smart and active kid.  He loves watching and playing football especially.  His favorite thing to do is play on his tablet and put together Legos.  He still wakes up early each morning, usually before anyone else.  Colson has a sense of humor that makes him seem a bit older than he is.  He does have a quick temper and doesn't like to be told what to do.  He does very well academically in school.  We are proud of Colson and love him so much!

Enjoying every moment.

Dancing Classrooms Assembly

I've waited for years for Cannon to finally participate in Dancing Classrooms.  They practice twice a week for 45 minutes during the month of December, January and February.  They learned 5 dances, as well as a respect for others.  I just love watching the kids dance together, the boys escort the girls, and see them all "shake their pockets!"

The 5th graders put on an assembly for the entire school.  Cannon escorted Annabelle and they led out their class.

Cannon was also one of the dancers who demonstrated a dance before the whole class performed.

And they are done...Cannon and Annabelle leading the class off the floor.

Cannon and Miss Rainy, their dance teacher.  Cannon really enjoyed this experience!

Cannon, Carson, Ashton, Josh

Such an awesome experience!
