Hello Ocean

On our way to the Redwoods, we traveled down Highway 101 for part of the trip.  That drive is so pretty and it was nice to look out the window and see the ocean.  We pulled over a couple of times to snap pictures...which isn't easy in a 36 foot motorhome towing a jeep.  (Thank you, Chris!)

One of the first nights we stayed in Newport at a state park.  I LOVE state parks.  They are beautiful, clean and are kid friendly.  Cannon and Colson played a number of times at the park, which was very close to our camp site.  Colson is now a fan of the slides and went down both the big and small slides on his own.  There was a type of zipline (kind of) and Cannon enjoyed that over and over.  Cannon also rode his bike all around.  Colson rode his bike as well, but Cannon is able to venture farther which is another sign of him gaining more independence.

There were great trails to the beach. We took two of them and I wish there was time to explore more.    Seeing the ocean is always very cool.  It just goes on and on and on.  The beaches in Oregon and California are so nice...just sand, not a lot of seaweed. The boys went right to the water!  Colson loved playing in the sand.  Cannon ran up and down the sand hills.  Both of the boys came back with sand in their shoes, in their socks, in their pockets, everywhere!  That's half the fun!

Wonderful times!

Enjoying every moment!
