Confidence Building

Colson has turned a corner in his learning.  It has been a struggle to get him to write his name and do some drawing but recently, he has found renewed confidence and has started to write his name, write strings of letters and draw more detailed pictures.

Colson has been practicing tracing letters and shapes at school and at home.  We have tried to get him to work on writing his name on his own but he wanted nothing to do with it.  Colson even refused to draw circles.

However one day last week, Colson wrote his name on the white board at school without any help. And from that point on, he's been filling up papers with his name, with letters, with shapes and with drawings!

We are really enjoying drawing with Colson and participating in some shared writing.  You can see how proud he is of himself when he is writing and drawing.  We are excited to see him continued to grow as a reader and writer!  Exciting times!

Enjoying every moment.
