Random Photos

Work continues to be busy and challenging, in a good way.
The boys are learning a tremendous amount, impressing us constantly.
We live by routines during the week and look forward to the weekends, where there are very few routines.

Here are some photos from the week...

Ummmm...Colson's jammies.  These are ones Cannon wore, too, so we can't totally blame Colson! They are his football jammies so we aren't ready to get rid of them yet!  lol!

Colson loves to play games.  Candyland and Trouble have been the ones we've been playing lately. He beat me two out of three times.  He's still learning to lose graciously!

Most weekend mornings the boys snuggle on the couch and play their tablets.  (We usually don't allow them to have tablets too much during the week.)  DC likes to snuggle up on Colson's lap!

Cannon has been working with Chris on fixing up an old go cart.  I think this is a chain from it, but I'm not really sure.  Cannon came in with it, showing me his big "smile!"

Greg smoked a couple of chickens for us.  (Thank you!)  We ate off of one for dinner that night and then Chris pulled the meat off of both of them.  We used the meat for dinners the rest of the week. Chicken sandwiches, chicken salad, chicken wraps, etc.  Easy dinners!

Colson and Cannon have been working with the Lincoln Logs lately.  Colson made this creation a few days ago.  After I took a picture, he had just as much fun wrecking it as he had building it!

Cannon started Judo this week at the YMCA.  He's only had one class so far, but really enjoyed it. He told us all about how to fall correctly and why.  He's looking forward to learning more and practicing at home!

Here's a picture of the go-cart.  Both Cannon and Chris has driven it around the neighborhood.  Chris also took it up to the new property to let Cannon drive around there.

It's amazing how much fun can be had with a jar of play dough!  Colson got a new nose!

These pictures are a good reminder that even though we sometimes often get wrapped up in work, school, eating and bedtime routines, there are so many wonderful times that occur daily, too.  It's important to stop and take the time to make more of these memories.  This is what it's all about.

Enjoying every moment!
