Happy Days

These two weekend days were definitely happy days.

However they weren't 'happy' because of anything grandiose.
We didn't go anywhere special.
It was a pretty normal weekend.

But we were all happy.

That is because happiness comes from within.  In order to be happy you don't have to leave the house or spend money or accomplish a lot.

We look at things in "the glass is half full" kind of way. This is easy for the boys to do, but not always so easy for Chris and I!  Thankfully, we have taken some good lessons from our 4 year old and 1 year old!  We have learned how the little things can make you happy.

  • This weekend happiness came from a basket of toys that I brought out...one the boys hadn't seen in months.
  • This weekend happiness came from baking bread, making pancakes from scratch, making a yummy dinner.
  • This weekend happiness came from sitting by the outdoor fire.
  • This weekend happiness came from one on one time with each of the boys.
  • This weekend happiness came from driving the Chevelle.
  • This weekend happiness came from having time to read my book.
  • This weekend happiness came from a clean house.
  • This weekend happiness came from playing outside.
  • This weekend happiness came from relaxing and watching racing.
  • This weekend happiness came from watching Colson walk.
  • This weekend happiness came from the four of us hanging out together in bed on Sunday morning.
  • This weekend happiness came from listening to Cannon talk about his day.
  • This weekend happiness came from receiving flowers from Chris just because.
  • This weekend happiness came from reading books to the boys.
  • This weekend happiness came from exercising.
  • This weekend happiness came from sitting down to meals together.
  • This weekend happiness came from lollipops.
  • This weekend happiness came from a visit to the pet store to look at animals.

The list goes on and on.
Happiness is everywhere.  It's all how you perceive things.

Enjoying every moment.
