Everyday Ordinary Life

Yes.
Today was just just another ordinary day.
But it was perfect.

The 'routine' and the 'ordinary' are just as amazing as the 'new' and the 'spur of the moment'.

I love how we had a quite day at home.
I love how at one point, I couldn't hear a thing but everyone was playing or working.
I love how many things got accomplished but some things didn't and I'm okay with that.
I love the smell lentil soup in the crockpot.
I love watching the boys play.
I love playing with the boys by themselves and together.
I love to watch Cannon draw.
I love to sit in the rocking chair with Colson and read to him.
I love that I was able to catch up on a bit of scrapbooking today.

The list could go on and on.

Yes.
I love the ordinary some days.
Today was one of those days.

Currently...

Currently....
I am listening to Ellen on TV.
I am loving how the boys love to play outside and can entertain themselves.
I am thinking about how much I have to catch up on for Week In The Life
I am wanting a day off to catch up, sleep in, read...
I am needing to clean the filthy kitchen floor.

Currently Colson is working on eating with a spoon.  It's a very messy process!
Currently Cannon likes to play outside without shoes and socks on.
Currently Chris is working on the jet boat and will be ready to back it in the water soon to test it out!
Currently Cannon likes to pretend play and is extremely creative and imaginative.
Currently we are eating left overs for dinner.
Currently Colson is close to walking.  He has taken one step a few times...but nothing more.
Currently Chris is swamped at work.  Good for business but tiring for Chris.
Currently we are trying to decide what to do for the weekend.
Currently there are two more days until the weekend!

And a few photos from today...

Enjoying every moment.

A Week in the Life

A Week in the Life has begun.  A week of massive picture taking and documenting our lives.  It's only been two days and I have taken a couple hundred pictures and am working on recording and saving as much as possible.  I've forgotten to snap pictures for some things.  I've forgotten to save some things.  But everything will come together.  It always does.

I'm overwhelmed with "stuff" and my desk is a total disaster.  But that's what happens with A Week in the Life.

Here are a few photos:

Enjoying every moment.

Busy Saturday

Yesterday we were busy from morning till night...late night!
We started with the Children's Museum and ended with the Supercross.

Children's Museum
The new Children's Museum in Tacoma is amazing and the possibilities for play are endless.  We went with Heather and Evan. The boys had a great time playing together.  Heather and I had a nice time catching up.  It had been quite awhile since we'd seen each other.  After a couple hours of playing, we walked down the street and had lunch outside.  It was a beautiful day and the warmth of the sun felt so good.

Supercross
We left to go to the Supercross at Century Link Field in the afternoon. Granny Joy came and stayed with Colson. This was Cannon's first time to the Supercross.  Walking around the pits, he stopped at every big rig there was to look and see how it was hooked up.  This kid LOVES hitches.  Cannon enjoyed watching the motorcycles, seeing the fireworks and people watching.  He stayed up the entire time and only fell asleep on the way home.  He was one tired kid!  Needless to say, he slept until 10 am this morning!

Enjoying every moment!

Wenatchee Camping Trip

I'm finally getting around to posting the pictures of our camping trip to Wenatchee.

This was our first camping trip of the year and we were ready for it!

The weather was great.  Just a bit of wind here and there to deal with.
Great company!  Sebastian, Mindy and Dillon are always fun to be with.
The campground was beautiful.  Lots of grass and wide open areas.  We were right next to the playground so Cannon and Dillon could go play whenever they wanted to.
Amazing food that we ate too much of.  Typical for a camping trip!
Wonderful trails for riding bikes.  (Exercise to work off all of the food we ate!)

Enjoying every moment!
