We made it down late Friday night. Cannon did great on the plane. Colson did great for most of the flight, but cried for about 15 minutes before he fell asleep. He was so overly tired but just wouldn't give it up and close his eyes.
On Saturday, we all slept in and then spent the day lounging around in the sun. We were out on the back patio at 8:00 am with our shorts on, catching some rays. Cannon loved the pool and swam for over an hour. We took a few walks, enjoyed watching both boys play outside and really just relaxed on our first full day of vacation. Mom borrowed a few baby and kid things from neighbors, one being a small bike. This has been a hit for Cannon, even though the bike is way to small for him...and it's purple and pink! However, he's rode and pushed that bike all over the place.
Today, Sunday, we did a little more of the same. Cannon enjoyed a few walks...one with me and one with Grandma. He went to the park with Grandpa. Later, he came out with his swimming suit on which was an obvious signal to go to the pool. So Grandma and Grandpa took both boys to the pool. Colson didn't like the water much but Cannon enjoyed another day in the water! Colson loves to play on the back patio and also follow Cannon around everywhere. Off the patio is just rock and dirt and Colson bear walks around everywhere. I figure maybe he'll learn to walk here since it would be so much easier (and less dirty!)
Chris and I took off for a few hours this afternoon to visit Tubac, which is just 20 minutes down the highway. We enjoyed the ride, had a great lunch and walked around the many stores in Tubac. It was nice to get away, see a new place and enjoy the weather outdoors.
We are loving spending time with mom and dad.
We are loving the warm weather.
We are loving being on vacation.
We are loving watching the boys play and enjoy themselves.
