Pima Air Museum

Chris and I had a nice time with Cannon visiting the Pima Air Museum on Thursday.

I love spending time with just Cannon....doing new things, learning and making memories.
Colson stayed home with Grandma and Grandpa.  He had a bit of a cold so he got to hang out and play with the grandparents!  I wonder who had more fun?!  I know he was also doing a lot of learning and there were a lot of memories made as well!
The museum has so many amazing planes.  Chris really knows a lot about planes and appreciates them in a very different way then I do.  We both enjoyed reading about the planes and the various stories written about each one.  The history is amazing.  We took the hour long tram tour and gained a wealth of knowledge from the tour guide.  One of the greatest parts of the visit was in the 390th Memorial Hanger.  We listened to a WWII veteran who flew B-17's over Europe.  The knowledge he shared was so very interesting and the first hand stories he told left us speechless.
Cannon loved the small, blue plane that he was able to get in and move the rudder, elevator and ailerons.  He also enjoyed pushing the buttons to turn on the sounds of a helicopter at one exhibit and pushing the buttons to listen to a SR-71 Blackbird.  Cannon was tired by the end of our visit but he was a trooper!

After touring the museum, we stopped for lunch....and ice cream!
What a great day the three of us had!

Enjoying every moment.
