I'm getting all of the pictures uploaded to my computer and found some other pictures from the week.
We sure had a great time and enjoyed our stay, as always. The boys loved hanging out, playing in the sand, riding bikes, going to the beach, going for boat rides, eating ice cream, visiting with family and friends, etc. The list goes on. I enjoyed all of the same plus I got to go for some long runs, finished 3 books and started a 4th, caught up on some emails and writing, surfed Pinterest just because, and literally relaxed. I was so in need of a week away from being totally in charge.....from running a household and classroom.
Enjoying every moment!

Father's Day Trip
Chris and Cannon took a "guys" trip down to Dexter, Oregon to watch some friends race their jet boats. This was what Chris wanted to do for Father's Day. They packed up Thursday night and were off shortly after lunchtime. Cannon was so excited to get the front seat all to himself!
The weather was warm and Cannon had a great time playing in the water. He found a friend to play with and they spent almost all of Sunday together!

Hello Silverwood!
So. Much. Fun.
That about sums up our day at Silverwood.
Cannon, Karin and I started at 11am when Silverwood opened and didn't leave until 7pm when they closed. Twice, we had to hide from downpours, but at least it was warm out. The rest of the day, we enjoyed the sunshine and NO CROWDS, since everyone else was scared of the forecast. We never waited in line once for rides...got on right away each time. We rode everything we wanted to. Cannon hit all of the rides he chose, sometimes twice. He also rode many rides with us...if he met the height requirement, including the two huge, intense roller coasters. Yes, he was scared and yes he cried. (but not until after the first ride was over.) However he got on the second roller coaster and thought it was the best! I was scared both times and closed my eyes to 'survive!'
We rode on the train and enjoyed the "show" they put on.
We saw an illusionist and ate kettle corn the whole show!
We ate ice cream and an elephant ear.
We played at the water park.
We stayed warm in the wave pool.
We laughed.
We screamed on rides.
We went through shops.
We walked a lot.
We took a lot of pictures.
We were tired by evening.
But it was so worth it.
What a great day!
Enjoying every moment!

Great Outing
Up.
Played.
Dressed.
Breakfast.
Played some more.
Then off for a fun morning with Heather and her boys.
First "fun" of the day: Riding the elevator
When you are a younger kid, this is totally fun. Waiting for the doors to open and guessing which elevator will arrive first. Pushing the buttons. Riding up and down.
Second "fun" of the day: Riding on the Tacoma LINK
This is a great, free ride that we caught from the Tacoma Dome station and rode for about 5 minutes to our stop. The boys loved having their own seat, looking out the window and watching the driver.
Third "fun" of the day: Playing at the Children's Museum
This is a fabulous place for kids to explore and be creative. Their favorite part was the water and all five of the boys got a bit wet, but it was totally worth it. They played for a little over an hour before it got too busy to watch them all at once! (You can tell from the pictures they had a 'duck' theme!)
Fourth "fun" of the day: Lunch at Freight House Square
Heather and I brought lunches but we all sat at a long, green, wood table that has some character and it was fun to eat with friends in a new place.
So many fabulous memories!
Enjoying every moment.

Ahhhh....
Seriously. Love. Summer. Break.
Sleeping in. (kind of)
Not deciding what to do until the last minute.
Sitting in the sun.
Reading.
Sorting, organizing and cleaning.
Feeling like there is time to do the things that I ignore during the school year.
Playing at the park.
Making cookies.
Being flexible.
Looking through pictures with the boys.
Enjoying every moment.

First Day of Summer Break
The weight of the world has lifted from my shoulders.
I am so glad...so happy...so ready to be on summer break.
Just a few things I did today....
Looking forward to many more days of doing whatever we want to do!
Enjoying every moment.
I am so glad...so happy...so ready to be on summer break.
Just a few things I did today....
- I started reading a book for pleasure. (Happy sigh!)
- I took the kids bowling this morning. This was so much fun! They both loved it.
- I've already torn apart Colson's room and put it back together, getting rid of the changing table (gasp!) that we were still using for storage.
- I cleaned out my purse that weighed a ton, threw it away because it was breaking and organized my things in a new purse. What a difference!
- I've made a total mess of the guest bedroom with the boys clothes: sorting and making piles of keepers, give-away and goodwill.
- Chris and Cannon left about 12:30 for Oregon. They are on a "guys trip" together and will watch the jet boat races outside of Eugene.
- Colson and I ran a few errands. We spent some time at the used bookstore in Sumner.
- We played outside and Colson got totally soaked running through the hose water.
- Colson and I looked through scrapbooks from last year. It was such a great reminder of why I scrapbook and keep a record of our everyday memories.
- I had a good workout and I am now going to go watch a movie. (However, I'm out of popcorn!)
Looking forward to many more days of doing whatever we want to do!
Enjoying every moment.
