State Capital Field Trip

Last Thursday the 4th graders took a field trip to the State Capital.  This is the first time I have taken a class there and I thought it was a great field trip!  The students new a lot of the information that was asked/talked about and they were able to make a lot of connections between what we had learned in the classroom and what we were learning from our tour guide.

The capital is a beautiful building with a lot of history.  We enjoyed seeing all of the marble, being in the governor's conference room, reenacting a trial, finding the gold in the curtains (gold thread) and much more.
