Celebrating All That Is Good

The list of needs is long.  (sigh)
The list of wants is long.  (boo)
The to do list is long. (blah!)

It's easy to get stuck on the all of the long lists.
However it's so much better if we just let those things go and celebrate all that is good in life.

Celebrating the play toy!  One of the best investments we've made is the play toy in the back yard.  The boys love it and they their favorite thing to do right now is swing!

Celebrating the new kittens!  These two kitties are so fun to have around.  The energy they have is amazing!  They make us laugh.  Cannon is learning responsibility by feeding them and giving them water.  Colson is learning to be kind and 'soft' with them.

Celebrating play!  We have a membership to the Children's Museum and there are special, member only hours.  I love this because there are usually only just a few kids instead of 20 or 30.  The boys love to explore and the possibilities are endless for play!

Celebrating spur of the moment trips!  We took last minute trip to get ice cream.  With the beautiful, warm days we are having, you can't pass up cool, yummy treats!

Celebrating books!  I have been taking the time to sit down and read more than usual...and remembering how good it feels!  Cannon has been listening to books on CD and of course, we read daily.  Both boys are participating in the summer reading program through the public library.  I love how books bring us all together...makes us sit still, listen, talk, enjoy!

Celebrating the 80 degree weather!  The last few days have been warm and the forecast is calling for the same for the next week or so.  I love having the windows open.  I love how we are spending more time outside than inside.  I love sitting in the sun and reading.  I love watching the boys play in the water.

Celebrating making the most out of the unplanned!  Chris is in Florida with Sebastian and the plan was to drive back the motor home Sebastian was going to buy.  But after seeing it in person, the decision was made to not buy it.  So Sebastian and Chris are "seizing the day" before flying back home.  They rented a cool car, went on an air boat ride through the Everglades, drove to Fort Lauderdale, put their feet in the Atlantic Ocean, enjoyed some good food, explored downtown and stayed in a "fancy" hotel.  Whoo! Whoo!

Celebrating summer break!  I feel this way every summer, but I'm so glad to have some time to relax, get things accomplished, think, plan, create, play, read, etc., etc.  All things that are very difficult to do during the school year!

Enjoying every moment.
