The last couple of days we have been having fun doing some fun activities. Thanks to Pinterest, I have a whole list of ideas to choose from. Here are just a few we have accomplished:
Volcanoes
There's nothing like mixing baking soda and vinegar! Add a bit of food coloring and you have some crazy volcanoes! Cannon had fun adding the "ingredients" and watching the chemical reaction. He also loved the mess. After we used up a whole box of baking soda and most of the vinegar, he added sprinkles and did some coloring mixing! Colson had fun dumping, mixing and stirring water after he woke up from his nap. He got soaked, but that's half the fun right!?
Jello
It's been forever since we have made jello. So Cannon poured and stirred and patiently waited. Yesterday, he had orange jello with cool whip, sprinkles and green food coloring. So exciting! Today, he chose the same ingredients except used blue food coloring.
Marshmallow and Toothpick Creations
A $1.00 for a bag of marshmallows + the toothpicks I already had = lots of creative building. Cannon spent quite a bit of time putting marshmallows together and making....well....who knows what he made really. But it didn't matter because he was enjoying himself. He ate quite a few marshmallows, too, which probably made the activity even better. Colson had his share of marshmallows throughout the day as well!
Storybooks Online
This has been a great find. Barnes and Noble's website has a storybook part where the authors of various books read the story aloud. Today, Cannon listened to The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Tickle Monster, and Pigeon Wants a Puppy. He loved it. And so did I. What a great way to listen to some more quality stories!

Thank you, Pinterest for all of the ideas!
Enjoying every moment!
