A three day weekend is always a blessing. One extra day to relax. One extra day to sleep in. One extra day to get things done. And one less day in our upcoming work week.
This morning, we were able to relax at home, and get some things accomplished.
This afternoon, we headed out to Yelm to visit Ray and MaryAnne. It was an absolutely beautiful day and we sat on their back deck by the pool. Cannon got in the pool a little, but wasn't into swimming that much. Chris got in with him and tried to get him to float and swim around, but Cannon wasn't having any part of that! He did enjoy kicking, playing with the balls that were in the water and using the net to get the 'critters' out of the water!
Colson was laid back and relaxed just like the rest of us. He sat on the floor and played. Sat outside on the deck and played. Was held by everyone. Took a long nap. (I had to wake him up!) He gave everyone smiles, especially grandpa and liked watching the dog, Molly run around.
Homer, Debbie and their son Eric came for a visit and it was great to see them and catch up. MaryAnne cooked up some yummy food and we all grazed and filled our bellies. It was like being on the boat...except we were by the pool instead!
It was a nice relaxing afternoon....one we all needed.
