What Today Was Like

5:00 am     Colson up, which is not usual.  He usually sleeps until 6:30ish.
7:15 am     Janel up (yes, I went back to sleep after Colson got up!)
8:00 am     Colson up again.
8:15 am     Cannon up
8:15 am     Playing trucks, hanging out together
8:45 am     Breakfast (cheerios with raisins and bananas for Cannon!)
9:15 am     Quick trip to get strawberries to make jam.
9:45 am     Colson napping; Cannon and I riding bikes.
10:00 am   Cannon playing outside with the bike trailer; I'm scrapbooking.
10:30 am   Playtime inside...Cannon is "fishing" with the jumprope! He caught a few fish (from behind the
                 couch!)
11:30 am   Snack then bike ride around the neighborhood.  Colson fell asleep in the trailer. 
12:15 pm   Lunch
12:45 pm   Storytime
1:00  pm    Naptime for Cannon; Tummytime for Colson
1:15 pm     Chris home for lunch.
1:45 pm     Hanging out with Colson, then trying to get him to go down for a nap.
2:05 pm     Naptime for Colson; checking email, Facebook, paying bills, and finally reading in the sun for me.
3:30 pm     Colson up from his nap.  He watched as I cut strawberries for jam.
3:45 pm     Getting ready for soccer practice before Cannon wakes up.
4:00 pm     Woke up Cannon from his nap (3 hours)
4:20 pm     Leave for soccer
4:40 pm     Soccer starts.  Cannon cried for the first part because he didn't want to participate. He did go
                 out on the field for the last half of practice and did everything he was told!  And he even looked
                  like he was having fun!  Chris came to watch this practice.  It was nice to both be there!
5:20 pm     Home.  Cannon playing outside.  Chris and I talking about our day. I started to make jam.
6:00 pm     Make dinner...turkey burgers, fruit, veggies.  Yogurt and cheese for Cannon.
6:20 pm     Dinner and hanging out together in the kitchen. Chris took charge of the boys while I finished the
                  jam and cleaned up the kitchen.
6:55 pm     Colson bath and rest of bedtime routine.  Chris and Cannon are outside working on Greg's
                  motorhome.
7:30 pm     Colson to bed....drowsy but awake.  Cannon still outside playing.  Love nights like this!
8:00 pm     Colson is WIDE awake!  Some nights, he'll go down easy, some nights...he won't!
8:05 pm     Cannon in the shower 45 minutes late. But it's so nice out, it's hard to pull him in from playing!
8:15 pm     Colson finally asleep...with only a little patting and shushing from me.
8:30 pm     Reading with Cannon in bed.  Chris is still working outside.
8:45 pm     Lights out for Cannon.
9:00 pm     Work on Blog, upload pictures, check email, etc.  Pick up around house.  Start laying out
                  out another scrapbook page.

And something I want to remember from today is when Cannon and I were reading we came across the word, chat.  I explained to him what it meant and gave him a couple of examples.  We finished reading our books and then Cannon asked if he could play with his trucks for a couple of minutes.  He told me to, "go downstairs and chat with daddy for awhile."  At least he is listening when I try and teach him things!
