Hello from Poulsbo!
Thanks to the library in Poulsbo, I'm able to update the blog. I LOVE libraries!
Thursday: Blake Island
Cannon: "I CAN'T wait to go on the big boat."
Cannon couldn't wait for our vacation to start and neither could we. We were so ready to head out and enjoy the north sound. We headed to Blake Island and were lucky enough to grab a spot on the dock. Cannon immediately wanted to fish and within 5 minutes, caught one! Thank you to Grandma Mary Anne for the pole! And thank goodness for store bought cubed ham...it works great as bait!
Friday: Blake Island and onto Bremerton
We took a long walk around Blake Island. Colson slept in the front carrier and we enjoyed the beauty and quietness. Cannon played on the tire swing and wanted to go "higher" which he continued to shout! We then headed to the beach and Cannon waded in the water and wanted us to come in, too. No thank you...too cold! But to a 3 1/2 year old...it was heaven. He got soaked and sandy! Oh, the joys of being a kid! Colson put his feet in the sand and sat on the logs with me. He loves to watch Cannon.
After lunch, we made the trek to Bremerton. It was a great cruise over. Cannon said he loves the sun. So do we! After docking, we walked around the boardwalk and ended up at the park. Cannon went in the wading pool and again, got wet! We couldn't have planned it better! We watched the ferry come in. Watched the people. Watched Cannon and Colson play in the water. Love it! In the evening, we took another long walk to the park at the other end of town to go through the Farmer's Market. We stopped for a pizza along the way and had a picnic in the park. Cannon played on the toys and I enjoyed walking through the market.
Saturday: Bremerton and onto Poulsbo
We woke up to fog this morning. Chris always makes great breakfasts on the boat so after we filled up on pancakes, we hung out in the boat and talked and read. Before we left for Poulsbo, Cannon, Colson and I went for a walk up to Starbucks for hot chocolate. We then headed to Poulsbo and the clouds parted (for us, I'm sure) and we enjoyed a sunny trip. We've had our long walk to pick up some supplies and I got to look through a few stores. It's been great to sit up on the fly bridge of the boat and take in the warmth of the sun and people watch. I'm a quarter of the way through a book (The Help...thanks for loaning it to me, Mom) and now onto dinner! I love being here. Can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring.
Pictures will come when we get home.
Love all of the experiences we are giving the boys.
Love that we are enjoying time together as a family.
Love life.
Enjoying every moment!
