Boating

Morning
Colson was up first at 6:30ish.  He woke up happy after sleeping through the night and was ready for the day.  Chris went back to sleep...or at least stayed in bed for another hour.  Cannon was up about 7:30, which is earlier than usual for him.  Of course, we made waffles (Cannon's request) and ate while Colson took his early morning nap.  I went to run errands (store, library, post office) and then got back in time to pack up to head to the boat for the day.  Two full bags, a cooler and a lunchbox later....we were out the door to meet Sebastian and Dillon.

Afternoon
We took a slow cruise over to Gig Harbor.  It had been a very long time since we've been on the boat and an even longer time since we'd been to Gig Harbor.  We sure did enjoy the ride and the scenery.  Gig Harbor was a zoo of boats.  There was some festival going on so we headed to the back of the harbor and anchored.  We BBQ'd hotdogs and had some other munchies.  Dillon enjoyed the boat and Cannon loved being back out on the water.  Cannon loved watching us drop anchor and pull it up.  He drove the boat part of the way back, too.  He is very observant and takes everything in.  He wants to know what everything is, what everything does and will repeat it back to you.  We know every parent says this, but Cannon just amazes us constantly!  We all had a nice, relaxing afternoon doing nothing.  It was sure nice to hang out with Sebastian and Dillon, too.

Evening
We pulled in the driveway about 5:45 and Brenda came out inviting us over for left overs from the BBQ.  We timed that well!  So no cooking for me and we sat outside and had a great meal with Greg, Brenda, Dan and Claire.  It was just as yummy as it was last night!  Cannon ate off of everyone's plate and especially loved the bread!  Claire and Brenda held Colson and I actually ate a meal without holding a baby!  After dinner, we put the boys to bed after they each had a bath.  Daddy read to Cannon (If You Take a Mouse to School was one of the books) and I went in after and sang and said prayers.   We then proceeded to unload and unpack everything.  I also had to get things organized and together for tomorrow.  The boys are heading to Lea's tomorrow afternoon and I'm working in the PM.  Then...a little TV, a 2 mile run for me, showers and some reading and finally off to bed.

Enjoying every moment.
